Hand History Converter

Welcome to the LegoPoker Hand History Converter help file. We are constantly striving to be the best converter on the internet, with our ease of use, simplicity, and exhaustive options and features. Please read this document carefully if you are having trouble with the converter. After reading if you are still having trouble, if you have found a bug, or if you have any idea or suggestions, please contact us through the link on our website.

Converting Modes

LegoPoker has three available converting modes. Each are outlined below.

Saving Your Settings

If Auto-Save is checked, your settings will automaitcally be saved every time you enter into a converting mode, or any time you hit the button "Save Settings". If Auto-Save is NOT checked, your settings will only be saved if you hit the button "Save Settings". How are your settings saved? Well, your settings are saved based on if you are logged in or not. If you are logged in to your LegoPoker account when you come to the converter, your settings will be saved to your account and every time you come back to the converter (weather on the same computer or not) and you are logged in, your previously saved settings will be already set! If you do not have an account, your settings are saved to a cookie, and it expires after 30 days. If you do not already have an account, we suggest that you register ASAP.

Navigating Through the Options

The LegoPoker Hand History Converter has always been a simple, easy to use approach to converting hand histories. Yet at the same time, has always been feature rich and user-friendly. This new version of the converter has created many more options and preferences. Because of this, we wanted our users to have complete control over the layout of the page. If you do not want to edit settings, you can click "Hide" on any of the three option settings and all of the settings will hide giving you more room to focus on what matters most. Don't worry, your options are still set, they are simply hidden. You can bring them back at any time by clicking "Show". What's really neat about this show/hide effect, is that LegoPoker remembers how you like to view them. If you save your settings while a section is hidden, it will be hidden next time too. And vice versa. We hope you enjoy this!

Copy Hands

You can copy to clipboard whatever is in the hand history text box at any time by hitting the button "Copy Hand(s)" located on the right hand side of the control panel.

Alternatively, you can hit CTRL+C when the converter finishes converting a hand and the converted hands are displayed in the text box. They should be highlighted automatically. If the hands are not highlighted automatically, simply higihlight the text you want to copy and hit CTRL+C.

Options

Below are listed all of the options you have available to you when converting a hand on LegoPoker! If you have any trouble at all do not feel hesitant to contact us through the link on our website.

Auto-Save

When checked, your settings will automatically be saved every time you convert, customize, or store a hand. There will be no need to click the "Save Settings" button because your settings will be automatically saved.

OutPut Format

Select the format in which you would like to output your hand. We offer many output formats. Plain Text is simply a text format of the hand, use it when you are just pasting or emailing hands to others. HTML is a popular format for blogs, websites, and other web related outputs. But our most common output formats are for internet forums. Sites such as twoplustwo, flopturnriver, and internettexasholdem, are all supported by us.

Deck

When you use an output option that supports images (HTML, and many forum outputs) you may select which deck you want to use. Below is a preview of the currently supported decks.

Show Results

When checked, the results of the hand (players hands, winners and losers, and net changes in stack sizes) are output at the bottom of the hand.

Show Full Board

When checked, this option will tell the converter to display the whole board on each street. For example, if the flop comes out AsKdKc and the turn is Th, the converter will display the turn card only on the turn. If this option is checked, the flop and then turn cards will all be displayed on the turn. An example is shown below.

Condense Multiple Folds

Frequently there will be hands where there are multiple folds in a row. This can make the hand history un-necessarily long and boring. Whech checked, this option will condense multiple folds in a row into a single statement. For example. Instead of "Player A folds, Player B folds, Player C folds" the converter will simply display "3 folds".

Condense The Header

The Header is the top few lines in the output of the hand history that describe the context of the hand. Such things as the poker site, the name of the game, the stakes being played, the amount of players in the hand. These things are all seperated by a new line, usually spanning approximately 5 lines. You may want to condense this into one line by checking this option.

Condense Actions

Typically in a hand history from a poker site, the action (bets, raises checks, calls, etc) is spaced by new lines. Our LegoPoker Hand History Converter will condense these actions into a single line for you when this option is checked, seperated by commas. If the option is not checked, then the converter will still convert the actions, but they will each be on a new line.

Highlight Bets & Raises

You can make agression and important actions in the hand stand out by highlighting them red (bets and raises). Simply check this option and it will be done for you.

Hide Player Names

If you prefer to keep the actual player names in the hand history hidden, check this option. Instead of displaying their name we will instead display their position. For example, instead of "Phil Ivey" we will display his position, "BTN" (meaning button). For a complete list of the positions and their meanings, click here

Number Multiple Hands

With the LegoPoker Hand History Converter, you can convert multiple hands at the same time. If this option is checked, the converter will put a number by each hand. This will make it easeir to reference to particular hands, especially in group study, when multiple hands are displayed.

Highlight Important Stacks

Historically, there have been options on the hand history converters of the internet that allowed players to mark stacks that hit the flop and stacks that went to showdown. Now, LegoPoker has once again revolutionized the hand converting norm, and created a new way of determining which stacks are highlighted. The converter will figure out the most important stacks and mark them. If 2 or more players make it to showdown, it marks only them. If two or more make it to the river (but not showdown), it marks only them. If 2 or more players make it to the turn (but not the river), it marks them. And so on.

Include Chat

If checked, any chat that takes place during a hand will be displayed in the action of the hand history. Note that this option has limited support, but does work for most of the popular sites.

Include Net Change in Results

If checked, the amount that a player gained or lost in that particular hand is displayed next to each player who makes it to show down. This option is only relevant if show results is also checked.

My Alias

Similar to Hide Player Names, except for yourself. Many players posting on the internet do not want people to know their screen name. If people found out their screen name, they would perhaps gain an understanding of how that player plays based on his/her posts, or perhaps would just know that he/she studies. Either way, people can gain on edge on you by knowing who you are. Therefore, if you fill in an alias in this text box your name will be relplaced with what you type here. Historically the player playing the hand is refered to as Hero.

Show Stacks

There are 4 Show Stacks options. Each of them different. The key difference is that they apply to different game types. For example, say you wanted to show stacks in NL and PL games but not in Limit games. It's simple. Check the "Show Stacks" checkbox under the Cash Game Options -> No Limit & Pot Limit sub section. Then, under the Fixed Limit subsection, you would make sure the box is unchecked. The same principle applies to Tournaments (SNGs and MTTs). Of course, the function for each is the same. If checked, player names (and positions) are shown with the dollar amount or number of bets amount next to them.

Display Bets

There are two sets of Display Bets in Terms Of... options. Similar to show stacks, the two options have the same function. You may choose how you want bets and stacks to display. There are two options, each outlined below.

The only difference between these two options are the hand histories they have an effect upon. If you want to display NL/PL games in terms of dollars but limit games in terms of bets, simply check the corrosponding preference under their respective headings.

Show Buy-In Amount

This is a SNG option, and if checked will display the buying+vig amount in the header of the output SNG hand history

Show Tournament Name

This option will display, in the header of the output hand history, the name of the MTT this hand history represents. Note that his is not available all the time. And example would be, say you had a poker stars Sunday Million hand history. You convert it with this option checked. The header of the output hand history will include the fact that this is a hand from the Sunday Million. If you do not have the option checked, this information would be ignored.

Upload File

LegoPoker has responded to the high demand of players wanting to convert hand histores right from a file on their hard drive instead of having to open it up and paste the entire contents of the file. We now support both converting of text and files of hand histories. Check this box and a button will appear that when clicked will allow you to choose whichever file of hand histories that you want. Select it and then click one of our converting options and your file will automatically be converted!

Show Raw Hand History

After you convert a hand history, you may wany to change the way it looks. You can bring back the original hand history that you just converted by checking this option. So you can bring back the original hand, change your selected options, and then re-convert. Note that this option is disabled until you actually convert a hand.
